HelpSmith is an innovative help authoring tool which allows you to create CHM Help files, Web Help , Word RTF, and Manuals from a single source. The reliable help authoring system includes a powerful MS Word-like unicode text editor for working on help topicswith dynamic styles and live spell checker, advanced approach to working with multimedia files, automatic correction system, and many other useful tools.
HelpSmith provides you with an easy way to create technical documentation from start to finish and also lets you import help topics from Microsoft Word (.RTF), .HTML, and plain text files that can be written in multiple Unicode character sets.
HelpSmith helps you provide help files for your own application in different formats one of which is HTML Help files, a standard format for Help documentation in Windows. HelpSmith supports all the features of HTML Help CHM format, so you can create the hierarchical Table of Contents (TOC), keyword index, also you can create and modify html help's help windows, and so on.
For experienced technical writers, HelpSmith has the Import ability, which lets you import your existing help projects from the .HHP format (Microsoft HTML Help Workshop) or even directly from CHM files.
The WYSIWYG principle makes working with HelpSmith as easy as using a regular office application. And, in fact, you do not have to learn any technical details to create first-class tech documentation with the HelpSmith authoring tool.
